The Dow Medical College Students’ Union and now the DUHS Union have played a major role in student life in DMC. It provided a training ground in democracy. The elected union was the liaison between students and the College, University, Provincial and National Administration. Class of 1983 saw the last democratic elections to the Student’s Union in DMC. The class of 1984 and onwards saw no elections and to this day there is no Student’s Union in DMC. The student parties like NSF and Jamiat have their clown class representatives.
