This video took many years to be finally traced to Dr. Mohammad Hafeez Rahman MD who graciously gave it to for processing it into a movie.
I first heard about the video at the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Class of 1960 in Houston in 2010. Prof. Adeeb Rizvi came from Karachi to
attend his class reunion. I forgot all about it and early this year started a quest to find the video. After contacting several of the alumni of DMC 1960
I finally talked to Dr. Hafeez Rahman who was very kind. His condition was that I obtain prior permission from Prof. Wahid’s family before
releasing it to the website and social media. With the help of our Dow 77 colleagues in Karachi I contacted Prof. Wahid’s daughter Prof. Zarnaz Waheed in Karachi who
kindly consented to me placing it on thedowdays.com so that all the Dow graduates could benefit from this precious video. (there are not many
video or movie recordings of Dow events before the 1980’s hence anything we find is invaluable in addition to the photos) Special thanks to Dr. Hafeez
Rahman for preserving this memory.
Prof. Wahid passed away on February 2 2000. May his soul rest in Eternal Peace.
