Every student who wants to become a doctor has a dream of studying in the Dow Universityof Health Sciences. After years of struggle, when you finally get in, it is the happiest moment of your life.
Your parents are super-proud of you, khandaan-wale congratulate you and your friends have to admit that you are smarter than them.
Once you get in, you understand that DOW is a whole different world. Here are a things you will understand if you are, or were, a student at DOW.
1. It takes a few weeks, and even months, to learn the names of ALL of your classmates.
2. If you take a bus to college, getting to the point on time takes some serious commitment.
3. You learn that you are not the only one smart here the hard way. You find your classmates are way more clever and studious than you are.
4. You can’t just bunk classes and roam around. They keep an eye on you.
5. When the result comes out, everyone wants to know your GPA. You can’t hide it… It’s impossible.
6. The 3rd year is a funny period at DOW. You have to make clinical groups which are a big deal. There is plenty of confusion and lots of drama ensues.
7. Dowites love to help out! From bake sales, volunteer work in PWA to SOCH, the students of Dow are always doing something to help patients.
8. When you are free and broke, you and your friends can only go out to eat the good stuff available at Burns Road. If you have enough money, you make your way to the Atrium Mall.
9. Everyone is super-curious about the Prem Gali behind the girl’s canteen.
10. Talking of Prem Gali, many students end up marrying each other…. except you.
11. You look forward to the Annual Week. And you know Crazy Day is the best part.
12. There will be both good and bad moments, but the time you spent in DOW is undoubtedly the best.
