The Dow Snack Corner – Haji Saheb and Shaji

Recently we received email from Anis Rehman who remembers his days in Dow when his father, our Haji Saheb and his uncle Shahji used to run the famous Dow Snack Corner and Canteen. Now a grown man and doing quite well, he saw our Dow Days Blog and noted the post on Dow Canteen he sent us some memorable photographs and his recollections of Dow Days.

Thanks a lot Doctor this is great effort by you that reminisce golden days of Dow.  I am son of canteen contractor and my father served Dow and his people since 1963 haji or shah ji and Sadiq (late) is my uncle thanks again for sharing your thoughts it means a lot to us! wsalam

Dear Sir,

Asalam oliekum. I hope you are doing well. I have attached few pictures of abu and mine of TUC shop where i helped abu during my college and university time. Abu is currently living in Islamabad with my sister and often visits Karachi. I live in UK. I did post graduate in marketing from Leeds met uni and MBA from Cardiff university and work as a sales manager in Midlands region. I’ve learnt a lot from the environment of Dow that’s why I feel deeply affectionate towards it .
