NASREEN JAMAL KAHAN was a Dow graduate of 1983.
She died two days ago in a bomb blast in Kabul, AFGHANISTAN.
She was brilliant doctor met her in in 1994 when she was working at family planning clinic at Britto road Karachi.She was very hard working doctor and was always concern about women health and maternal death.She used to send me complicated and difficult patients when i was in Sobhraj Maternity hospital .she used to be very concern about her patients and their outcome.
She wanted to do PhD in public health and went to Australia leaving her husband and children at Karachi husband gave her all possible support.
she came back and started working with UNFPA.
She used to visit KOOHI GOTH WOMEN HOSPITAL on regular basis and were always available for help.
Presently she was working with UNICEF and was posted in Kabul.
She was a great public health doctor and has a goal for the improvement of women status in society.she was against all kind of violation of women rights.
