Dr. Habib-ul-Haq Siddiqui:
Dr. Siddiqui was a graduate of 1956. He expired in 2011. May Allah almighty give him Maghfira. Worked as anesthetist in Nairobi after doing his post graduation in UK in1959 until 1969. He returned back to Karachi then and worked at Lady Dufferin Hospital in Karachi since 1969 until 2007. He was the anesthetist for Benazir, assisting in deliveries of all her babies in that hospital. In 1961 he had a great offer to join, as anesthetist in US – after consulting his dad – he declined the offer – as his dad at that point – was of the view – if u go to US – it would be hard to live back here in Pakistan ! (I can see this wisdom now and wider at his foresight ! ) Hence he advised him to go anywhere else, then, except to US ! He was the Founder of Pakistan Anesthesia Association and his obituary can be seen and perhaps added to Dow archives from there by Dr Amin Karim. He died a very peaceful, contented man in Karachi and is buried at Darul Uloom Karachi cemetery. (The above account provided by Dowite Dr. S.K. Masood, USA on December 25 2013)
