Dow Medical College Class of 1960.
The Following is an account given by Dr. Ali Jumshyd, Class of 1960,  who is retired and lives in Houston

During the period 1955-60– Principal of the college was Dr. Mahmoud Ali Shah, Eye Surgeon; he also officiated as Secretary Health, Sind  for sometime. Other notable teachers were Dr.Abdul Wahid in the Anatomy Dept, Dr.Charles Reid in Physiology,Dr.Mazharul Haq in Pharmacology ,Dr, Tufail in Pathology. On the clinical side were Dr. A.M. Kassim  in Medicine Jinnah Hospital, Dr.
Maj. Hassan and Dr. Piracha and Razia Rahimtoola in Medicine, Civil Hospital, Surgeon Siddiqi,Surg, Amanullah , Col. Said in Civil Hospital, Surg.Shafiuddin in ENT and Surg. Rahim in Orthopedics, Civil Hospital.
Some notable events:
Election of Sher Afzal Mallik as President of Students Union, during this period there was hunger strike of students to fulfill students demands for developing lending library  and some other facilities. Prime Minister Suharwardy came to the college.
International Mushaira , Shakil Badayuni participated from India.
Students protest against the attack on Suez Canal in Egypt.
Notable students: Dr,Adibul Hasan Rizvi Founder and Director SIUT Karachi.
                             Dr. Faridon Setna, Director Shaukat Haroon Hospital, Karachi.
                             Dr, Inayat Jokhio, Prof. Orthopedics, Karachi.
                             Final MBBS exam 1960– Dr. Philemona Hazel FIrst position,Dr.Ali                                Jumshyd
                             Second position. Dr. S.Suleman third positiion.
                             In USA, Drs. Bashir Ahmed Prof. Emeritus Psychiatry, Dallas.                                      Ahmed Sayeed  Pathologist ,  Manazir Shamsi Psychiatrist,
                             Ali Jumshyd, Radiologist,Ex. Faculty Case Reserve Univ Cleveland                              Ohio; Retd faculty Baylor College Houston.
